The 20^th century saw the craze for cruiser motorcycles. Many super brands manufactured cruiser bikes. Honda is no exception. Honda manufactured many cruiser motorcycles since 1983 under the name of 'Honda Shadow'. It consisted of bikes from 125 cc to 1100 cc. Let us have a look at some of the best bikes of Honda Shadow.

125 cc Class

Honda manufactured 125 cc cruisers for the European market as it perfectly fitted the rules, regulations and restrictions of Europe. These bikes came with chain drive and were extremely durable.

500 cc VT Class

Honda VT500C was first launched in 1983 had some futuristic features with regards to the 20^th century. It featured chrome garnish on side covers and black engine covers. It had 491 cc V-Twin liquid cooled OHC three-valve six-speed engine under the hood.

The bike was excellent in looks. It established a new definition for what a classical machine should look like. Features like chrome headlight cover, same colour of fuel tank and rear fenders, chrome front fenders and tank decals attracted loads of customers. It looked astonishing and had made lots of fans all over the world.

Honda Shadow bobber with 600cc VT Class

Honda VLX Shadow 600 or VT600C was introduced in 1988. It sported 583 cc SOHC liquid cooled three-valve V-Twin four-speed engine. It had excellent performance and mesmerizing driving dynamics. This bike was ahead of its time in a plethora of ways. It was one of the few bikes that had single shock rear suspension. It was extremely successful and made lots of fans. Its classical cruiser like looks that included a large inclined fuel tank, chrome front suspension and headlight covers and dual chrome exhaust gathered lots of attention and made a distinct segment of cruisers.

It was so popular that many people started modifying their bikes to look like VT600C. Many bike customization shops offered VT600C lookalike modifications and were extremely popular.

700cc VT class

The 700cc Honda shadow bikes were known for their attractive looks and powerful cruiser engine. It had 749 cc liquid-cooled V-Twin six-speed engine and offered excellent performance and refinement.

It had round headlight with chrome cover, long windblast protector, polished chrome engine side covers with classical "Shadow 700" decaling on them. It had slightly backwards wrapped rear fender that attracted many customers. It had excellent looks and was immensely popular among riders who liked large capacity cruisers with astonishing looks.

Honda Shadow bobber is not a specific bobber model, but stands for a whole series of models at Honda that runs across almost all cubic capacity classes. The VT600 is always a chopper or cruiser, regardless of cubic capacity and engine power, i.e. a motorcycle for a relaxed tour with manageable engine power, comfortable bench and seating position, all without any sporting ambition. The smallest Shadow, the VT 125, was built between 1999 and 2009. Its high-revving 15 hp two-cylinder engine didn't really fit the confident and relaxed driving style that is typical for choppers and cruisers. With 600 ccm it looks quite different. After all, the solid and reliable mid-range Shadow was produced for 20 years (from 1998 to 2008) and can still up to this day often be seen on the roads. As the basis is quite cheap, many people use it to build a Honda Shadow Bobber Transformation. The Honda VT 1100 C draws on the full potential. It comes closest to the character of a "relaxation bike". Performance has been deliberately reduced, with the 50 hp versions outweighing.
